For those who are thinking of running in the student officers elections this year, remember that the nominations are closing on Wed 17th February (Fri 19th for online nominations).
If you don’t fancy running a campaign yourself this year, you’ll still want to know which candidate should get your vote. So come along to the Hustings (Candidates Question Time to me and you).
The event gives candidates a chance to appeal for your vote through a short speech, before the floor opens to students and allows them to quiz their would-be leaders on the issues that matter to them.
Getting informed about candidate’s policies is crucial to making sure you vote for the student that best represents you. Here’s the dates for this year’s hustings, be sure to put your local event in the diary now.
And if you’re campaigning...start working on your speech!
Mon 27th February - Student Activities Room, SU Cooper Building, Greenwich, 1pm
Tue 28th February - Location TBC, Medway, 1pm
Wed 29th February - S007, Southwood site, Avery Hill, 1pm
And don’t forget the voting itself - 10am till 6pm, Mon 5th - Thu 8th March. Look out for more info on posters and at
