AIS offers independent, confidential, impartial advice and information on a range of welfare and academic issues to members of the Students' Union.
The AIS Student Advisers offer regular drop-in sessions and consultation appointments and provide a range of welfare leaflets.

Student Advisers offer general advice, information and/or signposting on anything concerning students at the University of Greenwich. Student Advisers often offer an independent and empathic approach to a problem that may not be available from friends, family or other support services.The Student Advisers offer a specialist level of advice on University of Greenwich academic issues. This includes providing guidance and support for hearings relating to appeals, plagiarism and university disciplinaries. They may refer students to the Vice President Education or other elected offficer for representation if required. Student Advisers can make referrals to other organisations for other specialist areas of advice, but is unable to provide representation to students at external tribunals. For specific advice on immigration, Student Advisers are required to refer students to the University's International Officer for assistance.
