The key duties for the VP Services are to:
- Act as the Students' Union Treasurer, responsible for budgetary policy and co-ordination of all trading activities ensuring best practice is followed, ensuring adequate financial management information is provided.
-    Act as signatory for the Students' Unions bank accounts.
- Sign all contracts make on behalf of the Students' Union once ratified by Finance & General Purposes Committee.
-   Authorise capital expenditure, replacement, repair and renewal costs.
-   Be the Chair of the Board of Directors for any company established by the Students' Union.
-   Convene Finance & General Purposes Committee; chair the meetings (or nominate another); ensure minutes are accurate and correct.
-   Be the Students' Union's nominee for observer at the University Court.
-   Sit on the RAG Committee and assist them with their activities.
-    Act as the NUSSL Liaison Officer.
- Co-ordinate and review Freshers' Fayre with the aid of the relevant staff.
- Act as an ex-officio officer on Sports & Societies Council
-   Accept disciplinary charges from the student body about students.
- Sit on the Disciplinary Panels
-  Accept complaints about students from the President.
 
Which Students' Union Committees do I sit on?
 -   Finance & General Purposes Committee - provide a full financial plan to the Students' Representative Council and University Court; select an auditor and be responsible for the completion of the audited accounts which are presented to the University Court and Union General Meeting; be responsible for co-ordinating the Union's Annual Report; consider complaints made by the student body against students.
-    Students' Representative Council - write reports for this body on your progress and any University Boards & Committees which you attend.
-  Students' Representative Council Executive.
-  Staffing Committee - depending on who is drawn by lots.
