The Students' Union Univesity of Greenwich is the focus of student activity at the University. The Union's head office is at Cooper Building on King William Walk, between the Old Royal Naval College campus and Greenwich Park.

The services provided by the Union include bars, cafes, shops, entertainment events, a welfare advice and information service, clubs and societies, skills training and volunteering opportunities. The main role of the Union is to provide a means for students to voice their own views, and to assist students in organising the activities and services that they want.
The Union represents student views to the University and Union officers are elected each year by the students.
The Union runs bars and venues to cover all tastes on all sites. There are bars on every campus and they offer a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
The Union has shops on all main campuses, selling various goods from confectionery to University clothing at reasonable prices. It stocks the equipment needed for courses, with as wide a range as possible. The Union also operates a mail order service for University goods such as clothing, mugs and gifts
The Union has cafes on each of the main campuses offering meal deals, coffees, sandwiches, snacks, soft drinks and good company.
The Union has full time Student Advisers who offer an advice and information service to students on the University's main campuses. The Student Advisers provide confidential advice on a wide range of issues, including advice on academic and welfare issues. The Student Advisers can also assist with Equal Opportunity issues and offer help with accommodation and housing related issues.
The Union runs over 50 general interest, cultural and sporting societies, including football, rugby, tennis, basketball, cricket, athletics, hockey, trampolining, drama, LGBT, business club, law society, Hindu society, Chinese, African-Caribbean, and Hellenic societies to name a few.
The Union offers free training in personal and professional skills for students. Run in conjunction with the National Union of Students and the National Student Learning Programme (NSLP), our training programme was set up to provide University of Greenwich Students with the skills that graduate employers seek.
To provide all these services, the Union employs about 50 permanent staff and up to 200 temporary and seasonal staff. Most of these staff are directly involved with delivering services on the various campuses, with the finance, administration, and managerial staff based at the Union's head office in Greenwich.
